Interface
The interface is divided into two main areas. The left section
is the Tool Area and the right section is the Viewing Area. The
Tool Area allows the user to make changes to the viewing area.
The Viewing Area will display all the anatomy.
Label Section
The Label Section is located at the top of the Tool Area. To identify
anatomical structures within the Viewing Area simply roll the
cursor over the structure to be identified and a label will come
up within the Label section.
Viewing Mode Bar Selector
Located at the top right area of the interface. Allows the user
to choose from Complete Viewing Mode to one of the Seven System
Modes. Pressing (click and hold) on the Viewing Mode Selector
brings up a pop-up menu. While still pressing, drag the mouse
to the desired viewing mode and release to select.
Gender Button
Located at the top right of the tool area. Clicking here will
change the gender of the area being viewed.
Anterior/Posterior Button
Located at the top middle of the tool area. This button will switch
the viewing aspect of the viewing area from anterior (front) to
posterior (back) and vice versa.
Find
Located at the top left of the tool area. Clicking here will bring
up an input box that will allow the user to type an anatomical
term and search within the present viewing section or within the
entire body. Once the anatomical term is typed, select within present view or entire database. Click Find to begin the search. Select one of the options that
resulted from the search. And another screen may appear with a
final set of results-select one of these. The Find box will disappear
and the viewing area will hilight the anatomical structure.
Layer Buttons
Located at the top right of the orientation figure. The up button
will navigate up through the layers of the section being viewed.
The down button will navigate down through the layers of the section
being viewed. Between the up and down buttons is a counter that
indicates what layer the user is presently viewing.
Orientation Figure
The Orientation Figure is located in the middle of the Tool Area.
The orientation figure identifies the area being viewed. To change
the viewing area to another section of the body simply click over
the area to be viewed. This area will now be hilighted on the
Orientation Figure and the viewing area will display the section
selected.
Quiz
Located at the bottom right of the tool area. You can enter Quiz
mode at any time. When selected a score box appears. the Score
box will prompt the user to click on a specific anatomical structure
and keep a record of the number of correct and incorrect responses
and time.
Exit
Located at the bottom right of the interface. Clicking will quit
the program.
